This past weekend, Hurricane Lala brought destructive winds, torrential rain and severe flooding to the islands of Hawaiʻi and Maui, leaving families and communities facing damage, displacement and a difficult road to recovery.
As our neighbors begin to assess the damage and rebuild, we are reminded of our call as people of faith to care for one another, especially in times of hardship.
The Hawaiʻi Catholic Community Foundation (HCCF) has established the Hurricane Lala Relief Fund to support relief and recovery efforts on the islands of Hawaiʻi and Maui. Your generosity will help provide assistance where it is most needed as affected communities recover from the storm.
Please prayerfully consider making a gift to help our brothers and sisters on Hawaiʻi and Maui. Every contribution, regardless of size, is an expression of compassion and solidarity with those facing the difficult work of recovery and rebuilding.
We also ask you to join us in prayer for those who have suffered loss, for families whose homes and livelihoods have been affected, for first responders and relief workers, and for all those working to restore and rebuild these communities.
Mahalo for standing with our ʻohana on Hawaiʻi and Maui during this time of need.
