Help me find...
July 22, 2026

The Catholic Church in Hawaiʻi is marking 200 years since the first missionaries arrived on these shores, and catholichawaii200.org is the one-stop place for everything connected to the anniversary year. The site carries the full story behind the Bicentennial, an archival gallery, and a running event calendar — each entry with a full description of what it is, where it's held, and who's presiding. Some of the year's opening chapter is already behind us: the June press conference, the July 9 Opening Mass celebrated simultaneously across the vicariates, Sea Sunday at Pier 36, and the first talk in the Cathedral Bicentennial Series. Those pages remain up. The calendar keeps growing, with new events added monthly as they're confirmed.
Up next, the site is developing neighbor-island pages where each vicariate committee can post its own celebratory events — so the faithful on Hawaiʻi Island, Maui, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, and Kauaʻi can find what's happening in their own communities alongside the statewide observances. Details for the 2027 Heritage Pilgrimage to France and Belgium are posted now, and the homepage has a signup for announcements and key dates. Bookmark it and check back.
