The Diocese of Honolulu is very excited to announce our plans to be part of World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain (August 16-21, 2011). Hundreds of thousands of Catholics from around the world will gather in Madrid for time to share, grow, and celebrate our faith.
World Youth Day is so much more than a vacation or a tour. It involves preparation, sacrifice, purposeful reflection, communal living and sharing, and a heart open to being formed by the Spirit of God, and its benefits continue long after the trip is over. It can be an exciting and life-changing event! The World Youth Day celebration is designed with young adults, ages 18 – 35, in mind. However, EVERYONE* can participate. *Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
