Diocesan Pastoral Council

ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE STATE OF HAWAII
Diocesan Pastoral Council

The Diocesan Pastoral Council (DPC), an advisory council to Bishop Larry, is composed of representatives from every vicariate as well as the religious communities of women and men and the priests who minister in this diocese. They meet with Bishop quarterly to investigate, discuss and make recommendations regarding issues that he refers to them.  They also provide a means of communication throughout the diocese by bringing information and concerns to their vicariates and communities and to the Bishop.

At their recent meeting the DPC met with representatives of various lay associations that work with marriage and family issues to hear their suggestions about what the diocese might do to help strengthen marriage and families.  The minutes of this meeting are posted for your information.
