APPENDIX III: Testimony

Gisèle Fournier-Massey, Honolulu HI, USA

God has quite a sense of humour . . . In my youth, my goal was to become a medical missionary in foreign lands. The road chosen was surely not the shortest one . . . I graduated from medical school but continued to become a specialist. On the way, I met and married a physician of a different ethnic background, and we became involved in teaching, research and clinical work. This led to us moving in a foreign country where we continued our work and raised our children. God had not forgotten my initial promise and was providing all along the ground for His work.

Now the means . . . At retirement age, in 1998, I discovered the FIAT Spirituality through a friend. God had waited patiently . . . Through the FIAT Spirituality which puts prayer into action, my home office became my prayer corner as well as my evangelization center. I could now reach the end of the world for Him through all means of communication including e-mail, without forgetting local action which is in a 'foreign country' for me. I realize now that all along God had taken me as I was and now as I am and where I am to be His instrument of evangelization.

Finally, a very special aspect of the FIAT Rosary, the little rosary, is that it is tailored-made for me. In reflecting on its Mysteries, it allows me every day to join my Fiat through the Holy Spirit to Mary's and Jesus' Fiats. Even the colors of the major beads show me this necessity, blue for Mary, red for Jesus and yellow for the Holy Spirit through us. Without our 'yellow', the world could and would not be the same - consider that if yellow was missing as primary color, the scenery would be quite different . . . going toward purple . . . , and the sun would be . . . But if we accept the challenge, what a world it can be!
