The remaining Vicariate town hall meetings have all been scheduled:
The purpose of vicariate meetings is to encourage implementation of actions called for in Witness to Jesus: Diocesan Road Map for Pastoral, Program, and Facilities Needs 2008-2013.
And to do this by:
1. Reviewing how the Road Map came about and its major recommendations
2. Sharing activities under way
3. Working with vicariate and parish leaders to identify the areas that will be their focus of priority action for the coming year—outcomes that will be pursued, status of current activities, training and resources needed, and timetable for moving forward.
4. Identifying individuals who are willing to go and meet with the leadership of other parishes, helping them to focus on their priority actions.
The desired outcome of the vicariate and parish meetings is to get every parish in the diocese working on at least one major activity during the coming year that will advance at least one of the recommended actions in the diocesan Road Map.
Facilitators of the Vicariate meetings:
Dr. Colleen Sathre & Fr. Marc Alexander, Road Map Implementation Commission Chair & Co-Chair
All are welcome to attend these meetings, especially:
1. Members of parish pastoral councils in the vicariate;
2. Leaders of other parish ministries in the vicariate; and
3. Members of the Diocesan Pastoral Council who reside in the vicariate.
