On July 11, 2008, our Diocese will sponsor "Aloha SPIRIT Youth Day". We will be hosting 200 youth from the dioceses of Ft. Worth & Laredo, Tx. and Rockville Center, N.Y., who are on their way to World Youth Day in Australia. Teens from various Youth Ministries on O'ahu will be sharing our Catholic Faith and "Experts" will provide a glimpse into our colorful history in the islands. The list of speakers include: Bishop Larry Silva, Fr. Lane Akiona, Fr. Gary Secor, Sr. Candida Oroc, Fr. Peter Dumag and Dallas Carter.

It will be a day of praising, worshiping, praying, fellowship, and learning about the Catholic Church in Hawaii (including our two future saints). It is also a day about sharing our Hawaiian Culture (songs, hula, lei-making, food, language, games).
We still need help: Experienced teen hula dancers and flower donations.
