Incardination and Candidacy

On Sunday, September 17th, in the Cathedral before a full church, Fr. Khanh Hoang was incardinated and three seminarians became candidates for the priesthood.

Incardination means that Fr. Khanh became a diocesan priest of the Diocese of Honolulu. Following his incardination, he was appointed by Bishop Silva as Pastor of St. Jude Parish. Cletus Mooya, Peter Miti and Paul Li were called to Candidacy at the same Mass celebrated by Bishop Silva at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace. The three seminarians are preparing for ordination to priesthood for the Diocese of Honolulu.
